Probably too slick for the synchros...
Regular MT fluid in the trans will help. If you get desperate, use a quart of GM synchromesh in the trans to help the synchros even more. (use the MT90 first...)

The trans takes about 2.3 quarts, so if MT90 doesn't butter it up I should use 1.3 quarts MT90 and 1 quart of GM Synchromesh?

Something like that. Its the trick you use in a Subaru manual trans that requires GL5 fluid (shares with hypoid gears).
MT's are funny. Often when you try to go too 'high end' with the fluid it makes things worse...

The seller didn't list it as having an e-locker and neither did the VIN, it was added later. I noticed the button in one of the pics and was delighted to find it fully operational!
The ARB is not migrating over. I know, we could have been bumper twins, but I'm probably going to snag a 4XI plate bumper.
I figure with a 1" body lift my shifter will become shorter lol

MT90 is definitely the right sauce for Toyota MTs.
I recently found out that it can be improved by swapping out a quart with Redine lightweight shockproof oil. I like this fluid cocktail a lot.

I haven’t used the GM stuff, so I don’t know. I rebuilt my trans and after a break in I found even MT90 was slightly notchy when cold, I think just due to stiff new synchros. Adding the Shockproof made it simply shift perfect at all times and temps.
Disclaimer: the shockproof stuff looks like greenish pepto bismol. Definitely weird. But I also like the idea of mixing products from the same company to increase likelihood of more compatible lubricant chemistries.

Start here... MT90 only to start - then experiment from there if something still isn't right.

WEEKEND UPDATE - 247,468
Drain and fill trans
Recovered Lucas 75W-90 (will put in one of the diffs) and filled with Redline
First filled a quart of lightweight shockproof blue juice, then topped off with MT90 and test drove. Night and day difference. Can't wait to get some more miles on it but I'm happy!
Installed ditch light brackets on A pillars
Over the last two weeks I painted and cleared the True North brackets, this weekend I threw them on.
Drilled pilot holes for the screws and used RTV on the backs of the brackets to prevent leaks/rust. Let cure over night and reinstalled the windlace. Had to get SS 3/8" #10 flat head sheet metal screws from Ace, the included panheads were too long.

Installed HAM radio in center console
Chopped up the ashtray and widened the opening to clear the radio. Took about an hour with the Dremel.

Also installed a triple USB charger port in lieu of the outboard charger socket. Had to open up that hole with a Dremel, too. Removing the charge socket without destroying it was a fun puzzle

Ordered electrical supplies I thought I had for my dash projects, delayed, and started messing around with antenna mount locations. Might go with a roof rack mount and install my 20" antenna when I go wheeling. Maybe leave a shorty on the NMO instead of just a dust cap to clear indoor garages.
Went to OC Yota Nights on Saturday
Met a few peeps I knew from the FB and had dinner with a few "local celebrities" at Golden Roads Brewery after

Took a run up Santiago Peak on Saturday evening with a buddy from IFS forum. It was dusty and foggy AF but fun.
This is how she sits pre Sunday
Saturday
Finished install of the HAM radio, in-dash wiring and temped in the antenna mount and cable.
Finished install of Subaru Field Monitor under my aftermarket radio and wired everything except the temperature sensor.
Roughed in ditch lights on True North A-Pillar mounts. Wiring and switch is temporary along with all other firewall penetration wires.

Installed Colorado Fairing Company fairing thanks to [MENTION=116387]Unner[/MENTION]'s recommendation. I ripped the straps they supplied on install so went with u-bolts and lock nuts. It's more stable anyway.

Installed Energy Suspension 8.4111G poly body mount kit and Toytec 1" body lift kit. Had to remove front and rear bumpers to get at the mounts on each respective end.
Found some snacks under the carpet

The carriage bolts are essentially useless and spin when being lightened, I might replace them, too. Also, no reason for thumb screws, I might go with nyloc nuts.
I try to paint or go stainless on any external hardware just to be future proof.
Other than that, I love the fairing, it really quieted the ride - I'm glad I followed your lead!

They are PTFE lined and impregnated and should be "lubed" with TriFlow after submersion or every other oil change.
They've been solid so far

Prepped after removing the factory bumper,
-cleaned up all threads/bolts to be used
-spray pained AC drier
Spliced in the new turn signals and got hyper flash. Ordered a new LED flasher from Amazon

Few tricks to installing the new flasher relay
I found this thread that helped but ended up removing the interior fuse panel and tilting it forward
This is where the flasher relay is
Remove and you will notice a base clipped onto the relay
Remove the base and you will see a center pin "flipper" that reverses the polarity of the relay
I tried installing the new LED flasher relay but nothing happened. Guess I need the polarity flip.
Remove the polarity flipper carefully, note there is a spring fit that snaps into a hole in the leg of the relay, you need to remove the tension here and then slide the flipper adapter up
I then slid the flipper adapter onto the LED flasher relay
I installed the LED flasher into the fuse block and tested blinkers and hazard lights. They all work and no more hyper flash!
Reinstalled the fuse block, tested everything again before reinstalling all the trim.
Note: the flasher I got clicks a few times after the turn signal is cancelled although the lights don't continue flashing. Not a big deal, it's just a little annoying.
Next up, fog light install in the new bumper.
I already modified my fog light relay per this post ( Toyota 4Runner Highlander Electrical Modifications Fog Light Mod ) and installed the proper headlight dimmer switch PN 84140-20560
-my SR5 was prewired for fogs but didn't have the correct switch, relay or actual.fog lights
After that, winch install and electrical updates

Did a run on Sunday to Rowher Flat OHV park, here's a post pic of the group
The truck soaked up everything I threw it at with no problem. I barely needed 4WD but I made sure to get it into 4Lo and use the e-locker once. Flawless.
