Odd problem with drivers side door

So over the past couple of months I've noticed that my truck no longer reacts when I open the drivers side door...

Examples are

• Dome lights don't come on
• When the headlights are on , no warning as I'm getting out and they're still on.

Things of that nature, any idea what may be causing this? Everything operates as it should with the other doors.

door jamb switch maybe? try swapping out the drivers side with the one off the passengers side..

Thanks after a bit more research it looks like this very could well be the culprit.

The part is only 15 on rockauto so im going to give it a shot, thanks!

84231-12080 is the part number, if you google it is $15 at a bunch of different toyota websites and toyotapartszone.com . Call your local dealer and get a quote, if its more expensive tell them you were quoted a $15 and see what they say.. You maybe able to get one the next day if they dont have it in stock and not pay shipping.

Try squirting some lube in the door switch before replacing. Mine did the same thing and all it needed was cleaning and lube.
