I just had the 3rd row reference 4500 installed over in Anaheim by Daniel himself! Yes the man is famous for his customer service face to face, phone and email and he backs it with hard labor as well! Took him about 4.5 hours and he was top notch accommodating and communicative the whole time I waited.
Yes we all know factory speakers are a joke. Magnets are smaller than ones I have on my fridge and they are stamped 20watts on each door unit lol. The Sub enclosure for the 3rd row SR5 goes down below into a cavity below the false floor section that is designed to pop out by yoda. My sub box does not arch over the cup holders like 2 row models does and imo looks cleaner than the 2 row sub. (So Glad I got Sr5 3r ill add an arb locker so I can run locked in 4high later on) the prebuilt harness is where 30-40% of the money is with this system, it is extensive and quality.
Sound is on point. A Frontal stage actually exists now (even with eq all set to middle)and I heard instruments and sounds on songs I never noticed before. The base is accurate and blends awesome. It growls low and there is some thump you feel. No it does not vibrate your contact lenses like a wall of 12's but it SOUNDS and feels great. (2x check bass settings on cellphone if broadcasting itunes/spotify/google)
Alot of people do not discuss the 2nd sub option that OEM+ offers for the passenger side cavity with its own dedicated amp and ties into the existing harness thats laid in. Im completely happy with whats there bass wise (for now lol) but im always going to wonder how much more bass is there with the other sub to compliment it. I grew up with 90s minitrucks and walls of subs and bandpass enclosures, orion and hifonics amps w 3 car batteries and overbuilt alternators; this system is insane for the small amount of money it requires. A really decent obiquitous laptop costs $1500 bucks. This thing was tuned in a 4R w microphones and it shows.
Luckily im in socal close to them and was able to catch a 4R at the shop and spend 30 min jamming it. Within 30 seconds of listening, my intuition said lets fkn do this. I got preorder pricing several weeks back and I still would have bought it at regular price.
For all you DIY'rs that keep talking what you can get for your money go ahead and do that on another thread as theres no reason to troll this product especially wo listening. The Value in this system is the engineered solution, cleanliness of install and sound, customer service, toyota/subaru footprint across many vehicles.
When I showed up a prospective Tundra customer was there to listen to the shop Tundra w intent to map out his mod path after dropping his Chevy Silverado w the joke Bose stuff. This shows that OEM+ is succeeding in becoming synonymous with the upgrade path on Yodas/Subarus. That is proof that the great reviews and feedback are valued amongst informed, motivated, cautious customers that want nice s+ h i t !!!
