OEM Illuminated Entry and/or Dome Supervision with Factory Keyless Entry?

OK guys, I'm trying to introduce some extra convenience features to my mall crawler. The bigger goal for this is to retrofit some newer OEM Toyota side view mirrors onto my truck with integrated turn signals and puddle lamps.

One option to control the puddle lamps is to simply trigger them from the dome lamp circuit or door sensor switch, however, it kinda defeats the purpose of puddle lamps upon vehicle approach.

I've read posts on Yotatech that some 3rd Gens came with Illuminated Entry; that is, the dome light comes on when the key fob unlocks the vehicle. Can anyone confirm? If this is not an OEM feature made available on our rigs, does anyone have any suggestions?

My RS3000 alarm box is programmed to trigger the dome light when I hit the unlock button. It shuts off the dome light when I hit the lock button. I don't see why your 2002 shouldn't have it. I believe your 2002 should have the RS3200 alarm. I would try to find the manual on google to see how to adjust the settings.

I just checked and my 01 turns on the dome light when you unlock it with the key fob and turns it off when you lock it with the key fob, so it looks like you idea should work. Have you see anyone do just the puddle lights and retain the stock mirrors? This sounds kinda cool to me.

I just had a set of stock mirrors apart a couple weeks ago looking into this very mod along with adding turn signals. There's not enough room in the housings to do it and still have full travel for the mirror it's self. It's that tight in there.

If you look on (guide) Page 5, Interior Light Activation is a feature. One that cannot be turned off. So, question is, is my truck jacked up or is there something the stealership can do to enable that feature?
