Offset Question

I'm going to have a 2.5/1.5 Cornfed lift installed on my "06 Sport. I'm starting to look into different wheels/tires. I'd like mine to stick out a bit more from the well than stock and I am going to go to a 16" wheel. Question is what is a good offset or how do you choose an offset? Any help would be great.

Thanks
Bob

With wheels the more backspace the closer in to the car the wheels are and the less backspace the farther out they stick. Take off one of your wheels and measure the distance from the back of the rim to where it bolts on to the hub. Then say it's 4" maybe go with a 3" or so and that will move out your tires/wheels a bit. Another option is spacers which do the exact same thing. Spidertrax makes a quality one for $100 per pair. Total is $224 for all 4 wheels and shipping.

is there any service manual or anything that might say for a fact? I'm trying to order a wheel/tire package online, but I don't want to screw up with the offset.
