VERIFIED TRIM COLOR CODES

LA45 (2001-2002) Light Oak Leather
FA45 (2001-2002) Light Oak Fabric
FQ45 (1999-????) Light Oak Fabric
FB16 (1999-?????) Moon Mist Fabric (Blue Gray)
FW17 (1997- ????) Moon Mist Fabric (Blue Gray)

If it is OK with the moderators I am going to start a comprehensive list of trim codes for 3rd Gen 4Runners plus other interior information that might be helpful for those restoring interiors or buying parts.

Here is a link for factory exterior colors,

http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/18408-toyota-4runner-3rd-gen-color-code-chart.html

but I haven't found a similar list for interior trim codes.

On the 4Runner I am parting out the trim color code (on the decal located in the driver side door opening) was listed as FB16. I found this thread that stated FB16 was Gray interior. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/125556-build-thread-the4kbeasts-3rd-gen-2000-toyota-4runner-sr5-highlander-edition-4x4-build.html#post1183792

Another forum member who said he has Moon Mist (Blue Gray) interior sent me a pic of his decal that was also listed as FB16. Does anyone know with absolute certainty if FB16 is Gray or Moon Mist?

Please reply here with your interior trim code if I don't already have it and I'll edit and update this original post. It would be helpful to have a comprehensive list in one place.

So here is the decal from the guy who told me he has Moon Mist (Blue Gray). Millennium Silver is 1CO and FB16 is the interior trim code.

I have a 2001 Limited with Oak leather and my decal lists the trim as LA45, not LE45.

Good thread. Not everyone knows that 01-02 interior colors have some differences. The 96-00 gray(Moon Mist) is way different from the 01-02 gray. The 01-02 oak interiors are the same on most panels, though I believe that they used a lighter tan for the cargo area panels compared to the 96-00. This change may have started in 99-00 so don't take this as complete fact yet.

Also, 99+ oak interior door handles are a lighter tan than the 96-98 which matches the seat color as opposed to the darker dash color. From what I've seen, they did not apply this change to the 99-00 Moon Mist interiors. Not sure about the 01-02 grays.

I'll post up my interior codes later.

It goes a lot deeper than 2 colors, that's for sure. From my escapades at the junkyard, I can certainly tell you a few things, there are 2 different colors of Oak/Tan plastic trim pieces, 2 different colors of Oak/Tan seatbelts (With different markings on the mechanisms), and at least 3 different fabrics used in the SR5 door panel inserts.

I have no idea on what year has what or any door tag codes, wasn't paying attention.

2001 sport has FA45 oak fabric interior
1999 sr5 has FB16 moon mist fabric interior
My totaled 2002 also had FA45 oak fabric interior.
My buddy has a 1999 limited with oak leather not sure on color code but I'll look into it tomorrow too.

went through on '02 sport edition this morning and found a bunch of goodies and got the ID tag so I could post the interior code. This one has FR17 for grey cloth interior. I got an undamaged sport hood and a cargo cover plus the turn signal stalk with the fog light switch on it for my 99 and the fog lights, the grey center console which I will be selling, took the front seats, the AC/heat control unit in the center dash and a bunch of smalls all for $340

Later this week or maybe early next week I'll be hitting up another salvage yard that has 3 4runners so I'll get the codes from those too

Yeah, there's variable shades of "Oak" that vary through the years, with different combinations on different panels.

Mine is a 1998 SR5, has the code FW45. Another variant of the Oak trim.

Got some more interior codes. Both of these 4runners were trashed and then whatever was left was already taken.
First one was a silver SR5 with grey cloth interior and a shit ton of garbage that's not pictured.
Second 4runner was an evergreen SR5 with oak cloth interior. I didn't see any body damage on it and the front desk guy was useless so don't know what happened to it but it was stripped and trashed inside from people who got to it before me.

I'll post mine up this afternoon. I wonder if the base model seats w/ the vinyl sides have a different code than the all fabric SR5 seats.

Here's a '97 I've been pulling parts off of in a local yard. FW16, and its a moon mist interior. FWIW even though the color is the same, the pattern on the seats/headrests is different than my '99 moon mist.
