I'm in the same exact boat. I'm waiting to do gears and a rear locker prior to my 35's.

I like this advice since you will be more inclined to get gears faster after getting the 35's. Otherwise it won't happen in any hurry.

I wish 35's were practical for me, but it just doesn't make any sense. For now, I'll just admire.

Im with you Kraze, Almost 2 years now on 35s and stock gearing, makes climbing any incline a hassle, red line FTW.

If you guys could stop making stock gearing and 35s look plausible that would be great.... because my 265s are about to look dinky with the lift I'm piecing together...

If i had to DD mine, I would not want 35s and stock gearing. I find it highly annoying to street drive it. Mine sees more offroad miles then street miles.

Yep, same here. I have a different vehicle that I use as my DD, so the 4runner is mostly used for off-roading. And mine being a manual does help a bit, so I wouldn't recommend going with 35s and stock gearing if you plan on DDing it.

Have any of you running stock wheels gotten grief from wherever you got your tires mounted for running a 16x7 with the 315/75r16?? Any problems? (Loosing a bead when aired down, etc)

You are less likely to pop a bead while aired down the narrower your rim.

I don't think Discount Tire will mount a 315 on anything less then a 16x8
