sort of a long shot i suppose, but i will give it a shot anyways. im in placerville/pollock, every winter we go up mormon immigrant trail until we cant anymore (aka stuck).

anyone from here in sac (or the bay) that heads up that trail in the winter? this will be my first winter with a 4wd so i will be trying to go atleast a few times. yes i know its a few months away, but i just saw this thread pop up so i figured id ask. in the past, ive seen a few 4runner guys (some even from socal), but mostly what ive seen is american stuff (not like it really matters).

I went in June and it wasn't that great of road conditions. Had lots of snow still. I also went with a group of guys thanksgiving weekend last year and they had a blast. (I was tired of wrestling the trail and turned around). You need to post up in the NorCal camping/bs thread. That gets a lot more hits than this one. But there are a heavy group of guys who try and get out year round. As long as it gets planned in advanced enough notice, at least a few will want to go.
