Hello, everyone! My name's Dave and I've been on the boards for a few months now, but never knew this section existed until today. Looking forward to finding reliable shops/mechanics in my area and maybe some new friends to go wheeling with and possibly help me wrench on my new truck! I live in Costa Mesa and picked up a '06 4WD Sport last weekend and am loving it so far. See you guys out there, hopefully.

Figured I'd say Hi here since I'll be seeing you guys the most out on the trails. I live/work in Riverside these days, though I've been in San Bernardino, Ventura and LA counties previously (all within the last decade actually).
Feel free to wave me down if you see me out and about, and I do have a winch and recovery gear-and am happy to help out.

Hey all! Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
I've been mostly researching and lurking the forum while shopping for a 3rd gen. Just picked up a new to me 2001 Limited. (163k/mi super clean!) It's still stock at the moment, but I've got plans to make it more of a camping rig/overlander inspired DD.
Also, just to keep the Costa Mesa thing going: my office is down in Costa Mesa, near South Coast Plaza.

Holy Jim can tend to get filled with "bro's" after the rains. But it can still be fun out there if you steer clear of them.

Hello SoCal! New to the forums here. The husband and I just picked up a 3rd gen a few months ago and are super excited to go on adventures! If anyone is up for some dunes, we are going to Pismo Beach Veteran's Day weekend and meeting up with some Land Cruisers! :usa:

As much as your offer sounds tempting there was just a Toyota Jamboree at Pismo as they do every year...
F you scan through the threads of the SoCal section you will find the SoCal bs thread and other threads pertaining to each of our meet & runs we do every month and it's a good time I promise anywhere from 15-30 rigs everytime at various wheeling areas throughout SoCal...you'll find everyone in this section are some cool mofos.
So Jill you and your hubby from the LB?
Oh and congrats on your 3rd gen purchase !!!

Thanks for the warm welcome! We are going to Pismo that weekend because we had to miss the Jamboree that weekend! Some friends of ours invited us and went, but, we had to take a raincheck on that trip because it was the same weekend as another huge annual trip for us, Supras In Vegas 2016. Though, I would've totally rather gone to Pismo with the 4Runner. :dance:
I actually joined the forum because 1) I've been meaning to for quite some time, 2) I used to be on the forum back in 2003 when I had a 4th gen but wasn't very active, 3) I actually met VH3surf at the bar I work at and he was telling me about all of the monthly meets and runs you guys do! My husband, "Nick2jzul8r" (here on T4R), and I are pretty deep in the Supra scene, but have been recently bit by the off-road bug lately. Especially when one of our other Supra buddies picked up a FJ80 recently as well!
We are from N.OC area. That photo of my MKIII Supra is actually from Toyotafest (which we attend annually). Probably one of my favorite shows because of the die hard Toyota people. LOL. We may just enter our 4Runner in the next show along with our 2 Supras. :bigok:
