OH SH**!!!! This ever happen to anyone?

So tried changing the plugs on my own... The tough one, was extra tough, and this happened. Am I screwed? Will supper long needle nose work... Or do I have to pull the valve covers?

dont bother pulling the VC, it doesnt give you much more room.

see if you can pull out the other piece of rubber before you take the plug out. it would not be good if the rubber falls in the hole.

Had the same this happen to me. Just loosen the spark plug and get a long pliers and grab it out. I was scared I would have tear into my engine, but everything worked out with a long pliers. I was a pain, but doable.

Don't think I can remove the plug... Left over rubber and plastic are in the way. Damn shop must not have put enough dielectric on? I'll try long needle nose and some picks... Have to buy them tomorrow... Though I was screwed... You've given me hope...

blast of compressed air should get it.

Anti-seize, the dielectric is for the top of the spark plug. I've done this on other cars. Good luck!

x2. This happened to me recently and a pair of pliers did the trick. Mine did break off in a slightly different place though

x2. This happened to me recently and a pair of pliers did the trick. Mine did break off in a slightly different place though

Wow, yours may have been worse! I've taken a 4 beer break, had a peak, and it doesn't look terrible... I think with some picks and long skinny needle nose I can figure it out... I was on the fence about changing the wires... Glad I got them!

Blast of air and it should come out. If you don't have a compressor use a can of keyboard duster spray. Nothing but compressed air in a can. Cheaper than long nosed pliers.

Yuuuuup had that happen before and it wasn't fun, long needle nose eventually got it off. Then right after the socket fell off my extension and landed over the spark plug.....that was even worse. Needless to say I have a set of locking extensions now.

This happened to me... (I am drunk, I think this is the same thing that happened...)

I used a wire coat hanger, cut it at an angle (so it'd be sharp), made a hook at the end, and grabbed the wire. easily pulled it off.

Sadly, I think I am still running those wires?

Lots of good ideas!! I have family visiting (was trying to get it done before they got here), so I'll have a go on Sunday or Monday and let everyone know how it turns out.... So what's the consensus on the previous shop not doing what they should have??? Should they have used more dielectric or anti sease so the wire boot would slip off easier?

Well, I think this pic says it all!! But just in case you can't figure it out... Amazon prime, long needle nose pliers, literally 5 seconds later problem solved!
