Oil suggestions for 4runner

I don't know if this article has been discussed here, but assuming the data is good it really argues against changing as often as most do. If you haven't read it before make sure you get to the part about the 3.4.

I will rephrase my statement. - I dont mix or go back and forth between oils because I feel the my vehicle becomes accustomed to one type of oil and mixing oils with different flow rates can cause it to become confused, skip, drool and bark. consistency is key.
Maybe once. But lets be honest, most name brand oil makers have added the good stuff already.
The only thing lucas oil is good for is if you need to thicken the oil for the pump to pick it up.. but if you are at that point; your engine is sludged up and your pump is dying.
Better to fix that than use lucas.
Modern conventional and in particular synthetic is all you need.
Opps: I was talking oil. Lucas makes an oil add on.
Fuel: Sure. There are some additives that can help. Don't use any with the expectation of performance increase, but some that prevent water build up or help stabilize over a long period of not driving work great. There is no miracle in a can...like extenze for a car, they don't work.
