NA Tundra guys aren't real impressed. The supercharged tune is killer, but for the price the NA tune kinda bites. It is giving around 15hp and a better feeling truck through shift improvements. If you have ever had a automatic tuned, you know what I mean. My dad had a 4.8 chevy and I had a 5.3. He took his to a tuner for a gas mileage tune. The tuner said the truck was right and he doubted he could get much gas mileage out of it, but he thought my dad would like driving it better because of the tranny changes. He was right. It just drove more responsively. I guess I will have to try out the 4runner with this thing, but I don't expect a lot more power.
If it works well I expect a slight power increase and a better feel with the tranny changes. Very welcome changes, just a little on the expensive side for such small ones.
I will have to wait until I get my tuner, and then wait until the weekend, but I will let you guys know how it goes. It would be really nice to gain something from a stop. Our 4r runs great running down the road, but I can tell it is a heavy truck with a v6 when pulling out. It just doesn't want to get moving.
