Most of the write ups are old and don't work anymore but how many of you guys have taken these out and what does it look like with it out I can't find any good pictures but I am not a fan of this it takes up a lot of space

Sorry. The link [MENTION=92800]mdogg[/MENTION] just provided is the best link for removing the sliding tray even if it is old and it works just fine. I clicked on it and it opened right up. Also [MENTION=8206]harper7[/MENTION]'s process works just fine too. What is it that does not work?

If you pull out the sliding tray and hardware you're left with a partial carpet with foam on the back side. You can strip that out as well and you're left with a flat, metal floor. Well, there are metal ridges but they're maybe 1/2" high.
It's a good platform to build storage. Or just carpet a piece of plywood and bolt in for a flat surface.
