Stock LC coils are horrible with weight, but are amazing for wheeling without weight in the back. It just depends on if you are carrying more weight or not which spring to use.

I think you may have sold me on these. From what I can tell there are not many other coils that would offer this, possibly the LC 8 or 9 wraps...??

They are the lift coils to get if you run a heavy bumper and/or have a lot of heavy gear, pull a trailer a lot, etc.

I've tried searching for the OME 851 and 861's but there isn't a whole lot of info on them here. Accoring to cruiser outfitters, both the 851 and 861 are within like a half inch of each other in over all length yet the 851 is for 2.5" of lift. Both have the same spring rate and are both around 19 to 19.25" tall which is the same as the regular 8 wraps.

So the question is......does anyone know the amount of lift these will give? anyone have any photos at all?

Its getting difficult to figure out all the different heights, even with looking at the lift FAQ and sticky

I'm running the LX450 coils which are about a 8.25-8.50 wrap and I clear 35's with no problem. I also have the AOR tube bumper and it sits pretty nice. The only draw back to running FJ80 coils is that if you tow anything or completely load up the rear cargo area you will sag. I tow a 16' fiberglass drift boat that only weighs roughly 300 pounds and the galvanized boat trailer and my rear end sags to almost stock height in the rear. If you want lift measurements I have them listed in my build thread. As soon as I get my tax return I'm getting a set of 851's

I had to wait about 3-4 weeks for mine. If you give them a call you can pick what shells you want re-treaded. They will also give you a better quote on turn around time as well. They have really good customer service and you always speak to someone versus an automated system.

Resurrecting an old thread, but my 891s are sagging. Daily, I dont carry heavy loads, just my receiver, spare 33, and tools for the "just in case" moment. However, I'm also having sliders on the way and about to throw my hi-jack lift in there as well.

With these things and fishing gear (I go often) I believe 861's will be perfect according to pics. Jeff's red runner is the exact setup (i believe he posted the pic on page 3) so i'm gonna go for it!

I called Toytec today, and they said I would be better off with the SuperFlex coils, so thats what I ordered. The rep said since I'm not planning on doing aftermarket rear bumper/tire carrier that I wouldnt need the strength/height of the 861 coils.

Probably true. I'm carrying more weight that it sounds like you will be.

Thread revival!! So which spring provided the most lift with carrying a load of camping gear and an offroad bumper? Ome 851 or Ome 861? Also has anyone experimented with the Ome 850J coils? I just did a SAS with leafs up front and its sitting high even after taking a leaf spring out. Im currently running LC 8wraps with no rear bumper and it sits lower the the rear still.
