What shocks are you running in the rear? Would these work with the OEM LC shocks that some people are running?

Hmm. May have to order a set from you. (Toytec Lifts) What shocks are you running in back?

The shocks are the Bilstein 5125's with the eye to stud adapter.

We actually used the last set we had in the warehouse to do the testing. We will be getting more in on Wednesday. We also want to do a little more testing. Once we get more in, i will let you guys know the outcome.

That is a great idea. Brian and I hit the trails together and can give a true side by side comparison. I have the SS 1.2 kit in rear which is the LC coil and then him with the "test" 861's and will provide written reports. Hmm but wait we would need the same shocks so that it would really be only a difference of the spring.

Yes, they work excellently. I have FJZ80 Landcruiser Tokico Trekmasters (#GE4095) and I got them for $80 shipped for the pair. You can use the OEM LC Tokicos too, There isn't much difference between the 2, same lengths. Unlike the LC coils, you use the rear shocks from a FJZ80 on the rear of the 4runner.

Yeah, I think it's Downpour11 that is running LC front shocks on the rear of his 4runner and they seem to be fine. I kmow somebody is running those, I think it's him. But I'm positive the length of the rear LC shocks are perfect for 4-6" of rear lift on a 3rd gen.

Perfect. I think both are running rear LC shocks but i'm not 100% positive. I know rockdawg84 is and im pretty sure downpour11 is too. I should be making the switch from my 891's really soon. Depends on when I can make it down to see Elton lol.

Yup Rockdawg84 and I are running the same OEM LC shocks, but they are rear land cruiser shocks, not fronts. They are soft and work great with 8wraps and 9wraps. And they should work great with the 861's too.

The extended Bilstein's, OME's, Tokico's, Procomp's etc should all work. Those LC Tokico's are probably the best bang for the buck.

I have Tokico Trekmasters...they're green...they're not OEM, they're aftermarket replacements for an FJZ80 with no lift.

Yes. I believe Sonoran Steel even offers those as an option to their 1.2 kit. He doesn't exactly specify, but I don't know what else they could be if not FJZ80 shocks:

I had emailed him about the fj80 springs and he said he doesn't have them listed because its technically not a "bolt on" item as you need to have bump stops and longer brake lines and you can have the drive shaft collide with the gas tank.

I just like being able to walk into a toyota dealership and hand them a part number and be able to get the part so its nice that the OEM shocks will work. And the price is really good. I will be ordering the 861's, OEM LC shocks, top out spacers, extended brake line and diff drop here in the next few days.

Gotta try and catch up with the rest of you guys on here. Well that and try to stuff these big ass tires now. :banana:
