I laughed so hard looking at that rake... Throw 3 extra people in there with a bunch of gear and 2nd spare... good to go.
 
I LOVE my 861's. Bought them from [MENTION=88391]NateMob[/MENTION] and haven't looked back since.
I consistently carry lots of weight too, but even when unloaded, I don't mind the added springiness.

So these are fj coils ? Heavy duty ?

Many people here get different measuresnts on 2nd perch with eibachs. I'm measuring about 24" in front. It all depends how the vechile was with factory coils and I believe no one will ever have the right measurement unless you go from brand new oem suspension. Eitherway it looks nice bro, I like the rake.


Tell is the rise bouncy or not ? What rear shocks you running ? What about driver side lean ??

The 861s are OME HD no lift LC fronts, rear shocks are BIL-33187174 for an 03 and up 4runner, and 07 up FJ, and have the correct 3/4 bushing. they are not bouncy at all. and so far there is no lean, measured on my shop floor the fender heights are equal side to side, ( no swaybars connected at this point).
 
So I drove it about 40 miles today, just back roads and such, and in that 40 miles I have a vibration that has gone from not at all noticeable, to very pronounced, I checked and greased the ujoints when I got it home, and set the trac bar so the rear is perfectly centered, and that did nothing, in fact it got a bit worse, so I'm thinking its the cvs, but am grasping at straws now. Any suggestions/ pointers?

That is for single carden shafts. 3rd gen's are dual carden shafts, where pinion angle is still important, but in a different way as outlined by this full diagram.

It could be the slip-yoke, OP. Or any of the rear link bushings.
And then, the front driveshaft IS a single carden joint, so the pinion angle IS important and can cause vibration as well.
Lastly, and least likely is an out of balance driveshaft with which vibrations could become more evident after a lift. Maybe!

No, the diagram I posted is for double cardan shafts. It's the same one as your first diagram.

Please don't assume that my low post count on this particular site is any indicator of my knowledge of drivelines or just about any subject applicable to 4 wheel drive vehicles in general. I've been building vehicles for well over 30 years. Worked in a driveshaft shop during college too, so I'm intimately familiar with the workings of all kinds of driveline stuff.

Thanks, I used to run an early bronco with the same type of shaft, and had to shim the pinion up when I lifted it. I read somewhere that if there is too much grease pumped into the slip joint it can also cause issues like this. I have looked at the pinion angle and it definatlly needs to be rotated up, looks like I will need some adjustible upper links!

I talked to the ARB techs and they told me B goes on the drivers US spec vehicles. If you look at the ARB coil chart, you can see that the B coil is longer then the A coil. I talked to the techs in person because I live .5 hr away from ARB warehouse in WASHINGTON.

So what kind of suspension are you putting on the front to level it out, I'm interested in doing this and just wondering what all I'm going to need.
