I've carefully read through virtually everything Old Man Emu for 5th gens (and a ton of 4th gen & FJ posts) and haven't found anyone with definitive experience using an OME 884/895 set up, so here it goes: Has anyone tried this set up on a 5th gen, and more to the point, have you tried it with the stock shocks/struts/UCAs? I know folks will likely discuss valving and encourage me to pair with OEM shocks/struts for better rebound control and articulation; however, this rig is 99.9% on pavement and I carry 300-500lbs of wine weekly over Canadian mountain passes in hair-raising conditions (in winter at least). In the spring I hope to add a rooftop tent and possibly an ARB fridge. I've read that 5th gen shocks & struts are beefier than those of the 4th gen -- is this true? -- and are they therefore more capable or at least adequately durable in this application? I've also encountered contradictory info about 884 spring specs -- some have them listed as 385mm long while others at 390mm. Finally, I'm curious about the use of stock UCAs in this application since the posted results on camber & caster with 884s doesn't exactly inspire confidence when it comes to highway handling. Thanks in advance for any and all comments or suggestions.
