OME lift - about to order

I'm about to pull the trigger on an OME lift for my 2013 4runner. Just wanted to see if anyone here had any last minute input. I will be purchasing through Toytec, as they have the best price I've found with assembly of the coilovers.

I don't plan on carrying any extra weight anytime soon, and I would like to put off new UCAs for now, so I am planning on the 884 Light front coils. Toytec states this gives a 3" lift. Those running 884s with out winch/bumper.. Did you get a full 3"? Were UCAs a necessity?

It sounds like the superflex coils are my best option for the rear giving 2" lift?, Otherwise the 2889s give 3". Any reason I should get the 2889 OMEs over the Toytec superflexes?

It just rides rough with no extra weight. But if you don't mind that, then by all means go OME. They were designed around the idea of carrying extra weight, over how much lift you get, if that makes sense.

Thank you for the reply. I do prefer a somewhat stiff ride. The only other option in my price range would be 5100s. I'm just weary of them. Had to replace two rear 5100s on my Tacoma within 20k miles because they started leaking. It was just a hassle to get them warrantied, plus paying shipping charges. I've had better luck with OME since.

I just had a full OME setup installed on my trail Friday. Lights up front and mediums in the rear. The ride is great. Only thing I'm still getting use to is the plus 4 caster. It's a lot more responsive so I have been overcompensating for the slack that I'm use to from the factory caster.

I've got the lightest springs with a winch and sliders. The ride is stiff, even with the additional weight. Not bad on the road since it takes care of all the other complaints about nose dive and general mush of stock. In my opinion it is too stiff for hard core wheeling - not enough articulation. It is quality equipment and should last many miles (I've had it for 3 years), but I am planning to replace it with a Toytech Boss setup in the next month or so.

It won't give you 3" of lift, but it will be close. Mine is closer to 2". You can get buy without aftermarket UCA's by dialing in as much caster as you can until the camber starts going negative. In the long run you will be happier with UCA's.

If you can hold off I MAY be in your area this weekend. I run OME with mediums up front and Icon 2.0 in the rears. All stock up front and I enjoy the ride. I'm building my rig for road trips or "overlanding" as they say and doing some crawling here and there.

That would be awesome. I should be free most of the weekend. Are you running stock UCAs ?

Been on stock UCAs for 10k miles. Aftermarket UCAs isn't mandatory with OME but there is some wandering at high speed so keep that in mind.
