OME on SR5 install

I know we can count on your for plenty of pics.
While your doing your photo shoot can you take some final measurements? I think your the only one I have seen running 884's without any additional spacers or heavier bumpers on a 5th - curious of the actual numbers these yield.

Here are a few photos. Height is nearly the same, within about a half inch of the Daystar kit I had previously.

DF -38.25"
PF - 39"
DR -39.5"
PR -39.75"

Still the 3/4" lean on the drivers side front even with the OME trim packer. Really irritating. I am grabbing the top plate spacer for the drivers side to even it out, but at the rate I am going it will still have the damn lean with that :toilet3:

And, the typical handful of photos.

Just ordered the front 1/4" spacer from Jeff at ToyTec. Hopefully that will get it back to where I do not notice. The rear does not bother me, so if it lifts the advertised 1/2" then I should be just fine :reddance:

Height is very similar, only really noticeable in the rear. One thing I found a bit nice is that the alignment is still dead on. I am going to get it aligned just to be safe in around 200-300 miles after everything settles, but it tracks perfectly straight.

Brock, nice work man! Truck looks sweet.

Any issue with the alignment specs? I have seen a lot of chatter on the forum about whether or not one needs new UCA with 3" lifts or larger.

Thanks!

Has not been aligned yet, but I do not foresee any issues arising when I take it in. I will let you guys know when the time comes, probably a week or so as I am waiting on that spacer to level the drivers side. Bad part about forums is that one person hears something, and then it turns into 200 people quoting it as fact without really having any idea.

I think it depends a lot on tire size and wheels. With my stock TE wheels and 285 Duratracs I needed the extra caster adjustment available through the Light Racing UCAs to get a good alignment with minimal rubbing.

1. truck looks awesome!
2. thanks for posting measurements. my bad math skills put it at about 2.5" to 2.75" lift from stock, taking into consideration the larger diameter duratracs.
3. good to hear about your alignment - i'm sure if castor was less than +2 or so you'd certainly notice by now. you just saved me $400 on UCA's.
4. :thumb3:

After a couple days and 100 miles or so it is stiffening up nice. I am loving this setup. Took it through some washboard roads yesterday and it seems it likes going faster through them. Going slow would knock the crap out of you, but at 20mph and up it was noticeably better. Got my tracking info for my spacer, after that is on a few days I'll get it aligned and let you guys know if it can be in spec without UCAs.

Got the spacer put on the drivers side. With a full tank of gas there is now only 1/4" max difference. Word of advice, if you order this kit order the spacer. The trim packer doesn't cut it.

Took her out camping and wheeling this weekend. Performed 100% better than with the spacer. Much firmer and stable feel, better articulation, all around a different truck.

On a side note, I was extremely happy I bought the Duratracs. It went from 90 degrees at 2pm on Friday (and I have the sunburn to prove it  ) to snowing this morning while we were packing up to leave. It rained from 10pm until the time we were packing up at 8am then got cold enough to snow. Nothing quite like pulling a 3000# trailer through axle deep mud. 4LO and the Duratracs pulled me straight as an arrow up steep inclines and a lot of standing water. Huge +1 for the Duratracs!

Toyota had my truck this week while I was in Vegas to check out the alignment. Somehow, don't ask me how, the alignment was still dead on from the previous alignment with the spacers. It would seem to me that it would need aligned after replacing the coils, but it didn't. Alignment was to Toyota spec, so I am glad I did not spend the money on UCA's. About 1000 miles in and it is still fantastic. I drove my wife's 2010 Matrix to Vegas and by the time we got home I was beat to hell and ready to be out of the car. I picked the 4R up from the dealer and instantly felt the difference in ride quality. Next trip we will be taking the truck, the extra fuel is worth the better ride, that was brutal.
