OMG Can you get an ORP with cargo deck and without moonroof in FL?

Toyotas website says kdss and moonroof are available, but I cant find one without them...please splain!

4Rs found at dealers, with the sliding cargo deck, all have the moonroofs too , which the cargo deck is a must.

Getting a different answer from dealers whether you can get a ORP without moonroof, that it has to be ordered, different dealer different answer, and searches are comin up short on t4r.org/google

It looks like someone in june 2018 got an ORP without moonroof after waiting 2 months, but did not say how he found it...Any suggestions?

Long story short, you may have to work with a dealer to "order" one - meaning they have to find one coming in to port like you want it and reserve it for you (since there's no custom ordering with Toyota).

I think you are just looking for a very, very specific combination of options, which very, very few dealers are ordering. I'd imagine that most people who think the ~$550 option for the cargo sliding tray is a "must" also view a moonroof as a must.

On top of that, at least in NC, it was pretty tough to even find KDSS on trucks. When I made my purchase, every dealer within 100 miles had exactly one KDSS truck, and they were all exactly the same: Silver, TRDORP, sliding cargo tray, moonroof.

If you are dead set on such a specific combination and aren't finding it in stock anywhere.. you'll probably have to order it!

I found that you either got a remote start or cargo slider when I went looking. I found a used cargo slider online so I have both. That means I also have (Like new) carpet and all the stuff to take it out later if I want.

Think I have decided to get KDSS, as much as I wanted to save the coin. Had a close call in Orlando the other day, while I survived, was amazed at the amount of body roll in a quick braking situation!

Most of the kdss trucks I have seen come with a moonroof too, unfortunately.

When I was buying last week, multiple dealers in both Oregon and Washington told me that they dealt with the cargo slider and sunroof as a single package. I wasn't able to get one w/o the other.

I didn't try to hinge the purchase on getting the cargo slider w/o the sunroof, but that was the first resistance/reason from 4 dealerships.

My 2017 in Arizona had KDSS, moonroof, sliding rear cargo tray, and no running boards. Exactly what I wanted. I didn't realize at the time I didn't need the roof rack crossbars but it had those. Not too expensive of an option though.

This is what I'm finding for the ORP>

In the Toyota Southeastern region you can only get a sliding cargo deck as a package with KDSS and moonroof.

In Gulfstates you can't get KDSS on anything other that Gray.

In Chicago you can't get the cargo tray.

In Virginia KDSS + tray requires moonroof but is limited to red and blue.

Go to Toyota.com and Build with different zip codes that set to each region. It's a very time consuming task and extremely frustrating because of the way the site is set up.

Then after determining which region sells a package that fits your desires you can't view inventory. You can find a dealer in that region and attempt to find a clue to inventory, but that's hard because most dealer sites only give generic specs.

It's all very frustrating.

Yeah am giving up on getting one w/o moon roof. There are some good deals out there for vehicles with the package that includes the cargo deck and moonroof, and kdss, one dealer sent me an internet price for just under 39k....not sure what his fees are though

Just curious.. I emailed Toyota about a 2019, KDSS ORP with sunroof asking if it was possible to get one with a cargo deck. They emailed me back that it was not. That they didn't show any 2019 4Runners with it. A bold faced lie?

Good to know. Thanks for the clarification. In the NYC area, I didn't see any ORP or Pros with the cargo deck. I looked at many dealerships. Odd.

In December 2017 I ordered a 2018 ORP with sunroof and no sliding cargo deck from Dave Edwards in SC. Arrived into JAX port in Florida which is Southeast Toyota. I'm glad I didn't get the sliding cargo deck because I have dogs and it's much easier to clean back there.
