OMG sticker shock on PS oil reservior $200

couldnt believe how insane it is for just a simple plastic bottle with 2 fittings costs $150-$200 depending where you look :crazy:

its just a holding jug for goodness sake lol

i figured mine was really built up with thick crud that didnt want to come off so just buy a new one, couldnt be more then $20 i figured, WRONG !!!!


guess ill be trying carb cleaner and some BBs to shake around in it to clean it

in case someone is wondering, yes it is safe to put the whole reservoir into a can of chem dip carburetor cleaner. its doing a very nice job so far eating away at the sludge inside so i may not even need to put any BBs in there and rattle them around in it.

just be sure to spray it down with regular carburetor cleaner spray can before reinstalling so there is no liquid carburetor cleaner left in there. the chem dip isnt as fast drying and is a little more "slimey" feeling then regular carb cleaner in a can
