On Road Performance of OME Suspension Lift

You have a v6 correct? What springs did you do? 884 or 885? 895 or 895e?

I want to add a functional, comfortable lift to my 03 V8 limited. Want to keep stock UCA's so ideally looking for a 2" lift. I'm thinking OME w/ 884's and 895E

Comments? suggestions?

I just ordered this setup myself. First suspension purchase ever. I didn't find many reviews on this setup either but after talking to Toytec I decided on the 884s and 895E. I am a little nervous about the end results. Almost like buying a pair of shoes online without being able to try them on...just a bit more $$$.

How is it? Still running stock UCA's? What sorta lift did you get before and after settling?

So Me being me I forgot to measure before. After with 265/65/17 on drivers side I was at 37 1/2 front and 37 1/4 rear. Was not happy with the high nose. I havent driven it much as I need to reclamp my CV boots now but it is settling DS 36 7/8 up front and just a hair over 37 in back. Thats wheel well to ground. I will remeasure center wheel to wheel well later. Using a level the stock side steps are almost bubble center, at the window well it is dead level and roof edge reads level. I think the roof slopes back a bit so it appears more reverse rake than level. I am wondering if I should have gone 895s to keep a little rake or I may just end up sticking a couple trim packers in the back, I dont need much. I am not going to do anything till it settles all the way. Stock UCAs, passenger side sway bar may be contacting the coil during some slow speed bumps, it could also be the sway link on that side though. It has play so I am replacing it.

Ride is AWESOME. No nose dive, solid in turns. Not at all jarring. I find it reassuringly solid.

I have 895 springs up front with superflex in the rear. 4x OME nitro sports shocks and I love the ride. Feels "trucky" but that's what we wanted. Was a tad stiff with the stock tires but after we got 285/70//17 on there that extra rubber made the ride perfect. Been to the desert twice since the install and it did very well out there. NOthing crazy tho lol.

I leave for a few months and return to find out 4Runners were doing rear axle front conversions. Awesome news! :thumb:
