onboard air....last mod.....finished

Well i think im done modding............
finally mounted my viair 400p in the engine bay......procrastinated doing it for a long while. but im happy with it......seems safe. i used a large band clamp. tightened it down real good. Solid.
lets see....mod list:
1-TINT (20% on all side windows,5% (2X) on back window)
2-OEM running boards (too narrow- actually slipped off them this passed july and fractured my right metatarsal- but im keeping 'em- they look good- i'll just be extra careful- i guess.
3-OEM Mudflaps - piece of cake install
4-Front "Bull Bar" - didnt want to. But i live in NYC. So i need the protection from the "Braille" parkers who park by "feel"
5-Rear hitch step (see above for reason)
6-Craven speed short antenna
7-Weathertech floor liners - front and back, and cargo area
8-Wet Okole seat covers - front and back
9-Kumho SAT KL61's (spare too)
10-Stainless steel exhaust tip (sheesh pricey $60)
11-OEM cargo shade
12-Eclipse Sunshades
13-OEM roof rack cross bars
14-Garmin GPS (mounted at the lower console cubby) as a back up to...
15-Iphone 5 (if you consider it--- it is a mod......no??)
16-Viair 400P-RV (removed mounting plate so could install on truck)
17-Weathertech - tinted side window deflectors on their way.......

Thats it man!!! no. im not lifting or "body chopping" anything........s'nuff
Almost forgot -
18-Tush Cush ......... wegde memory foam seat pad.....ohhh my aching back.......

i was a little apprehensive at first with the air compressor mounting.
but im glad i did it.......my main concern was the heat from the compressors "cylinder" head. which is close to the air box.....but i dont think it should be a big issue. Airing up 4 tires from 15 psi to 36 psi each (after offroading on the beach) shouldnt get the compressor so hot as to melt the side of the air box. even in the middle of august.......
the other concern was the mounting itself......that band clamp is really doing its job. no movement whatsoever. the wires are tucked in front of the compressor. and the alligator clamps are clamped tight to the compressor itself.....
so that was the only concerns - melting plastic/fire, and loose wires (wires are pretty stiff) or clamps ending up into the fan or worse......
