Once a Jeeper

Hey all just signed up after very recently buying a mint 93 runner. I was always a Jeep guy but decided to try a Toyota out.
So far I really like it. My only complaint is the flexability of it when out wheelin, which is pretty much zero. Axle droop so far doesnt exist. Whats the best way to get these things to flex? Also what do ppl recommend for lifting it? Spacers in the rear and crank the torsions?

Anyway cool site, i'm sure i'll be around for a while.

Best advice I can tell you is search and search and search. I dont have any experience with second get 4runners but the back is leaf springs. So do what you would do with a jeep, longer shackles or those flexing ones would be best for articulation. longer travel needs longer shocks. For the front a simple lift would be the torsion bars and adjust as much as possible. Total Chaos makes some good kits for the front. Baja worthy and gives you up to 10 inches of travel if you switch to coil overs. Other kits drop most of the front diff and suspension ending up with lift but about the same ground clearance under the diff. If thats not enough go with a solid axle swap.

Always good advice.

No, it has coil springs in the rear. First gen had leafs.

Don't crank the t-bars, do look for a good suspension kit.
Old Man Emu makes a 2" lift that rides/handles/flexes better than new.

Exactly why I posted, to learn something new, and try to help.

I like the looks of that OME kit. Thats probably the lift i'll go with.
For the time being though. Whats the best way to at least level it out? It's saggy tits in the rear.
