One Brake Caliper Hotter

I was driving from work to home and noticed when I got home that the driver side brakes were pretty hot, and passenger was not so hot, noticeable difference.

I also noticed more brake dust on the driver wheel, passenger, not as much.

I'd heard the pins needed to be lubed after install of new brake pads - could this be it? I installed new pads and rotors about a month ago (if that) and didn't lube the pins.

I'd rather not replace the calipers, as it's a little beyond my current budget.
I'd also rather wait to do the Taco upgrade until these rotors are toast.

Any suggestions? I'm willing to do work.

It could be the pads dragging on the pins, and/or a piston(s) not moving smoothly in the bore(s).

Either way it's time for a thorough cleaning of the caliper. If that doesn't do it, then it's time to rebuild it, or replace it.

Whichever side is hotter means that the opposite side is the one that is hanging up.

Look to see if your piston boot is torn. As 02se states above, it is probably time for a cleaning and rebuild.
