Yeah, it's gonna be lame. I was pretty pissed off at the US Top Gear for the trucks in Alaska episode, and this looks to be more of the same.

you're not alone on this. this looks cool to me no matter the vehicle used. reminds me of camel trophy minus the land rovers. wow. so many naysayers on this.

It's not the damage they'll do, that'll heal quickly. It's the poor example it sets for millions of re****s with 4x4s who have never heard of Tread Lightly.
If wanting to protect my wildlands and wheeling privileges from ignorant wheelers who think it's ok to blaze trail cross-country makes me a hater, then I'll wear that label proudly.

Agree. If the first episode explains the damage this may do to the overall environment or where ever they put themselves, then I can go with it. And I don't mean a "don't try this at home" or "professional drivers on a closed road" kind of crap. DC needs to explain to viewer the potential damage this causes to the kind of people that think this will be ok to do in their local forest road or trail. There are too many people that think it's ok to BLAST through a water crossing without knowing what kind of damage this does to our surroundings, not to mention our vehicles.
If we don't monitor ourselves, someone else eventually will.

I agree, but the explanation of the damage needs to be run at the beginning of, and at least once during, each and every show for the people who miss the first episode or tune in during the program.

Seriously. How many people are going to get inspired by that and hire a helicopter? I don't think that mountain's environment is in much danger.

Huh, its one of the members of Team Wu. I remember watching Team Wu during Bullrun and hearing about them during the Bull Run and Gumball Rally. Those guys ended up doing some crazy stuff which is probably why one of them is on this show to begin with. Not dangerous crazy (well maybe) but along the lines of mischievous.

Wow. As someone who has worked in Film and TV for almost 20 years it's sad when the first reactions to new content is finding ways to blame the media for the stupidity of some individuals. It's worse when it hasn't even caused any problems yet - it's just based on your unfounded assumptions. Where's the sense of adventure? The flip side is that stuff like this can inspire people to do great things and is more likely to have a positive impact than a negative impact. I got into off-roading largely through my love of the Baja races. So I suppose we should blame them if you see someone flying through the desert at high speed. It would have nothing to do with the individual being responsible for their own actions.
Why do people always want to put the blame on external influence when someone misbehaves - when the truth of the matter is, it's more like ****ty parenting is the reason some people might have grown up with no respect for the environment or other people and do stupid things.. It's always the TV's fault...
