I was just playing around. This forum is FULL of serious and I'm just now beginning to get the hang of being all eggy with my keyboard. Gimme a few thousand posts and I'll make new guys feel unwelcome, too. :wow:
That remark wasn't aimed at anyone in particular, but I have noticed that walking on eggshells is pretty much the norm here.
For the record, I'm an admin and moderator on several V Bulletin car clubs. I'm a new 4runner owner, but not to working on cars and not to internet know-it-alls.

Congrats on being a moderator and admin on other car clubs. I think you'll find T4R.org a pretty accepting and mature group of folks. The 5th Gen forum in particular is actually fairly tight, and lots of us get together in person (you know, IRL...). Not sure where your comment was directed if it wasn't at anyone in particular, but stick around and I'm sure you'll find all kinds of helpful folks here.

Saw the show last weekend and it was pretty good. Kinda chessy with the one dude doing all the work and the chubby guy driving and talking about steak the whole time.
Definitely better than american idol...
Always had a sweet spot for jeeps. My first car was rusted out '73 CJ-5 and a ton of fun. Couldn't get that POS stuck if I tried.

I agree. I frequent the Jeep forum quite often, and I can say that there is a definite maturity difference between the two forums. Both forums are great, and I learned a great deal from both, but things degrade quicker over there. Take the parallel thread to this thread on Jeep forum. At last check there were 454 replies and 17,359 views. It didn't take long, page three I believe, before the name calling began.

I have watched two episodes and although it's watchable, I find Mr Wu a fat boring fart, kudos to the English "Bear Grylls" guy for doing this kind of thing, but honestly a 10 year old jeep, sponsored by jeep and having a s**t ton of Jeep commercials during every break?????

I actually wondered about this myself. Why use a TJ when this is a perfect chance to market the JK? Only thing I could come up with is that they knew the car would break like in the Volcano episode and they didn't want to put the image of a JK breaking in people's heads. Anyone have another take?
