Opinion on Steering Racks, Cardone A1 or AAE from Rockauto

Like the title says. Seems AAE is a more popular choice on this site. Both priced about the same.

Looking to replace my rack soon, which one would you go with?

I'd save some more pennies and opt for either Safari or OEM. But its just an opinion.

Why do u need to replace it ? How do u know it needs to be replaced.

I would stick with oem in my opinion.
I too was thinking of replacing my rack. The inner and outer tie rods on both sides needs to be replaced at a tune of $520 in parts only. New oem rack is $800. I figure with 215K on the clock might as well replace the whole rack for $300 more and not worry about the whole rack for another 10 years. Curious on what's your opinion on this?

mine is black and I want a silver one

It's puking atf. I've tried tightening up the flare nuts and adding lucas stop leak. I'm adding fluid once or twice a week now. I would like to just replace a seal but that doesn't seem to be an option.

I don't know that it needs to be replaced but in my very limited knowledge of the rack it seems like it should be

If your set on getting a rack from the manufactures you listed, I am having good luck with my Cardone CV joints, however have no experience with the racks. But I would trust their build quality. But of course OEM will be your best bet.

I hear swapping them is a bit of a toughy though.

I just bought a brand new, OEM Toyota Rack for $511. Not much more than a good quality aftermarket, and surely the best for your rig Toyota Parts South in Massachusetts
