Opinion on TPS Sensor/Engine Code

Hey all, I've recently been getting the P0120 code on and off throughout the past couple months. It seems to only come on when I let off the gas really quick and immediately get on the brakes pretty hard for example, when the light turns full red right in front of you, or someone in front of me stops out of nowhere like Washington drivers seem to do. The code says there is an unexpected value coming from TPS or a short, and I figure the sensor is just bad as the code can be reproduced every time by letting off gas quick and braking hard. I've head of other issues causing this code such as a short or bad ECU, and I've looked for shorts and all seems well. I wanted to get everyone's opinion...

Does thinking the TPS is the problem seem reasonable considering the code is affected by how quick I get off the gas and on the brake? I think the sensor is only giving the ECU a fault for a split second because my shifting and throttle are not affected when the code pops up, and after three startups, the code always clears itself. Just wanted to make sure this sounded like a definite TPS sensor issue rather than an ECU issue before I spend the 80 bucks for an OEM from Camelback Toyota.

Cleaning the throttle body might take care of it also cleaning the maf but tps sensors do go bad. You can test the tps by applying vacuum to it and then checking the resistance.
