Opinions, OME 882 or Toytec coilovers or....?

Hey, guys! Got a little dilemma here that I have been contemplating for a while and want some opinions. Let me start with my issue, my front springs and struts are shot; they are both sagging pretty badly and the struts are leaking. The springs are original (200k+ miles) but the struts fairly new, bought last year so maybe 15-20k, but they are leaking so time to replace. I have also 2.5 inch daystar spacer lift on them. I just measured, and ground to fender on the front is 36” and the rear is 38”. I started noticing that my tires were rubbing in a few places that they hadn’t before so I know that it’s probably time to upgrade.

I am thinking of either going with OME 882 and OME struts, or the Toytec 650lbs coilovers. I have been going back and forth over the past few weeks and meant to buy on black Friday when there was a better discount, but couldn’t make up my mind at the time, and I know Toytec charges a restocking fee so I didn’t want to have to return or exchange them.

I know both options will lift the front end back up a little, but I am not as concerned with that as I am durability and performance on and off-road. More importantly off-road durability. Cost is always an issue, so I am leaning toward OME.

EDIT: After re-reading my entire post, I think its a little unclear what I am asking for. My question is why should I chose the Toytec coilover vs. the OME 882? Which would you chose and why?

By the way, the bumper and winch together probably weigh 250 lbs.

Below is a cell phone pic I just snapped of my front coils in case you want to see the sagging. You can also see where my tire has recently started rubbing on the UCA

It looks like according to that chart 884 or 885's could be an option as well, as they have a higher spring rate and are similiar height as the 882's.

I like the Tundra Coils with Tundra Bilstein 5100 combo. I believe this is what Sonoran Steel uses. I was going to go this route, but just bough a complete Sonoran Steel lift off craigslist.

Also 885's have the same free height measurements as the 882's and has the same spring rate as the 883's. I'd go with the 885 then Jsmarine.

Thats how I read the chart too, as long as the coil has the same diameter as the 882 (not just the bar) but the entire coil diameter. That is the unknown. Anyone have any idea?

883's have a higher spring rate than the 882's. Trust me I destroyed a set of 882s with my shrockworks and winch combo. They won't handle the weight.

Yes the 883 has a higher spring rate but spring rate isn't everything. The free height of the 882 is 395mm while the 883 is 375mm so it is already preloaded an extra 3/4 inch. Therefore the 882 has to have 375lbs on it before it compresses to the same length as the 883 with no weight. Also the 882 and 11 wraps and the 883 has 10.

Those are good points, and you would know better than me dealing with lift kits all day. I guess I am back to 882 vs coilovers, and Im leaning toward coilovers for the adjustability now like you mentioned earlier.

ok, not to be critical. But because the spring rate is higher, would 883's ideally be better able to handle the weight of a bumper and winch?

I could always add a 1/4 top plate spacer if I need more height/lift.

Not exactly. The 882 is compressed more so the static spring rate is higher. A spring with a 500lb spring rate will need 500lb to compress it 1 inch. Then it will need an additional 500 lbs(for a total of 1000lbs) to compress it to 2 inches.
