Ordered '18 TRD Pro

Costco will give you a list of dealers in your area or as close as they can get to you, that have pre-set no haggle prices on most models of vehicles.

Bought my '16 TP via Costco. Easiest vehicle purchase Ive ever made.

TRD Pro's however, aren't eligible for the Costco pricing...at least that's what I was told.

My first post. Got lucky and my dealer had a TRDP already allocated and on the boat when i stopped in. Put a deposit down about 3 weeks ago. Supposed to hit the docks early next week and then should be at the dealer the 1st week of April.

You need to start looking else where. I ordered my TRD Pro Cavalry Blue February 13 and had it in my possession February 27. Paid 42k out the door for it and got 32k for my 16 Trail with 19k miles and an accident.

42k out the door? So...$38k pretax? Wait, whaa? Am I reading this right?

Heard you can't get deals on TRD pros. Is this true? I don't mind paying MSRP though.

Paying MSRP is the best deal for TRD Pro.
They are difficult to get since they are really limited in production in Japan,so dealerships know somebody else will take the deal if you don’t take it.

So we ordered a 2018 TRD Pro in white for the misses today. She couldn't be more excited! This dealership in particular seems to get quite a few TRD Pro's in all three models throughout the year and they even have people come from as far away as California apparently to order them (they had three TRD Pro Tacomas on the lot today). They told us to expect about a six week wait on the 4Runner, which I am more than ok with, but for some reason my gut tells me we are going to be waiting much longer than that. While we are less than two hours away from the factory, I don't think that should have much bearing on the duration of the build.

They told us that I won't have an expected build-date/delivery date, until the factory has approved the build and reached out to the dealership with that info and then that's just a target at best I assume?! Have they gotten faster with delivery times on these builds, or are they feeding me a line of bull and/or a pre-packaged standard wait time reply? For those of you that have ordered recently, what kind of time frame should I truly expect?

You Might want to look at a post from a few years ago By " Harper7" He's out of Dallas.
Just enter "West coast VS East coast Allocation" in the search window. He explains how Toyota Builds and ships the trucks to each zone.
I live in California and was lied to by every dealer in town. I finally started a search on my own and ended up in Las Vegas to get what I wanted.
Do your own research, don't depend on the dealer to it. They don't care.

Pretty much. Put a deposit on mine at MSRP. All the other dealers i went to want $4-5k above msrp.

High school friend of mine works for Toyota corporate doing R/D. The engineers find it a damn shame that the dealers make them up like that...well he does at least instead of selling them all for msrp which is still plenty of profit for them.
