Ships in a week from Trail duty.com! Got sick of almost breaking my neck getting on and off the rack, so Jess got me a Gobi ladder. Crossing my fingers that it will work with my Baja utility rack.

I just installed a Gobi ladder on my Baja utility rack. It doesn't even touch the rack, so you won't have any issues with interoperability. I'm pretty happy with the ladder so far. I should have the beefy struts here on Saturday, too.
How much did the struts run you? Trailduty is trying to get the info from Gobi but won't have it until tomorrow I am sure.
I appreciate it!They were a gift from my GF, and I think she said she paid ~$90 for them. I'll try to confirm with her tomorrow, but the only reason she mentioned it was because it was a drastic difference from what was posted on here prior (which I think was like $185 or somewhere in that range).
Any chance you could post a few photos of your truck with the ladder on it. I saw the one, but your truck looking a lot like mine it would hold me over the next few weeks until mine arrives LOL. Maybe some of the clearance to the rack as well.
I'll try to get a couple tomorrow for you.
did you have to call to order it?
i couldnt find the gobi ladder and stronger struts on the trailduty.com website.

Sorry for the delay! Looks like there is *some* contact when the tailgate is open all the way, but nothing so harsh that it'll cause damage. I should be installing the beefy struts tomorrow, so I'll let you know if/how this changes once I do the install. Please see below:

I saw in another thread that the "beefier" struts where a bit beefier than expected and push the rear hatch up so high that it was causing damage to where the ladder met the roof. Also looks by this pic that any higher and you'll be hitting your rack.
Let me do a quick search to see if i can find it.
I've seen it, but the guys with the beefier struts were having rubbing issues to begin with on their plates as well. Mine doesn't seem to be having that problem (yet). With the new struts it will definitely impact the BajaRack, but that'll save it from hitting the roof. Powdercoat on powdercoat I'm not too worried about (especially in those two places), but powdercoat on Blizzard Pearl is another story!
