Actually. I thought about your comment above and thought "What does he mean by that?" Then I realized you might be saying somebody the same height as me might have a long torso and short legs and sitting down, it does make a difference.

And that would be correct. So I stand corrected if thats what you are getting at.

The whole "If you don't like it, get out!" mantra is counterproductive and simplistic.

It may be simplistic, but I'll stand by it. If a vehicle doesn't work for you, you need to look elsewhere.

I have had sports cars that weren't so comfortable for me, but I loved them and dealt with that as part of the cost of being tall and having a vehicle I love.

Hopefully we have found a middle ground. ;-)

My first 4Runner was a 4th Gen -- I specifically chose a configuration without the moonroof. Thought it was a waste of money as I wouldn't bother opening it after the initial novelty wore off; they were noisy when open; etc.

With my 2012, I wanted the Limited and there was no choice -- moonroof was standard.

What I found was that the combination of opening the moonroof and lowering the back window allowed for a very nice flow of air through the vehicle. There are times (usually in the evening when there's no sun) when I open the moonroof and back window, leave the side windows up, and turn off the a/c.

I've driven other cars with an open moonroof over the same route and was disappointed with the lack of airflow. The back window in the 4Runner makes a huge difference.
