Has anyone ever thought about just going down to a wrecking yard and looking for something like a "56 Chevy pickup that is about the same width as the front of a 4Runner.
They are solid steel; would just need to take a sawzall and trim the plastic off the lower part of the 4Runner and figure out how to bolt it directly onto the bumper bar hidden behind all that plastic.
Just a thought. Cuz I really think all these aftermarket squared off thingies are pretty crude.......
