Ottonavi GPS and NAV-TV rearview camera with night vision

Hey guys,

I just installed an Ottonavi GPS and the shop installed the NAV-TV rearview camera. the touchscreen navi is plug and play very easy. see my pix. The rearview camera has night vision too. I installed the back up sensor too.

Do you by chance have instructions on how you installed this GPS unit? I'm looking to do the same.

Hey Brandon,

This is the instruction that I used to remove and install my Radio/GPS. The interior trim removal is pretty straight forward. The radio/gps that I purchased is pug and play. I removed the OEM Radio and plugt the aftermarket one. I bought them from OTTONAVI for $419 shipped.

Let me know If you have any questions. The reason I posted it because it was easy enough for a novice like without reading the instructions though.

do you have the specs on the actual demensions of the unit? would like to throw something like that in my 3rd gen..
 
I am not sure about the 3rd gen though. For my vehicle 4th Gen is plug and play. If you can remove your interior trim it was so easy for an amateur like me.

Do happen to have a picture of the system you had in before replacing it with the Ottonavi? I purchased the ottonavi, but it won't fit it my 03 4runner. I have a Limited with the JBL system and the dash bezel will not allow the plug-n-play of the ottonavi.

I think I need to get the dash bezel of an SR5. Is you 4runner an SR5?

Hey Mark,

My OEM radio is in storage right now since I'm currently stationed overseas. It has JBL written on it. I have 2006 4Runner SR5 4X4. I did not need a dash bezel. It is plug and play as you can see in the picture. I think If you have 4Runner Limited thats where the problem is.
 
Check with the Dealer if Limited is different from SR5 in terms of radio size? I believe Limited has premium Radio maybe?
 
Thanks, Rey. I did find out there is a bezel difference. My options are to purchase a different dash bezel ($480) or to return the ottonavi toyota unit and swap it out for their universal (standard dual din dimensions) plus a $10 dash kit. I think I will go with the later option.
 
No problem. I loved my Navi, radio DVD etc on my 4Runner. Aside from rearview camera. Everything are pre-installed and just plug and play for my vehicle model and the price is right.

I finally had to exchange the toyota unit for the universal unit they had. However they have no diagram on how to connect the steering wheel controls. Were your controls part of the main wire assembly and plug-n-play or did you have to wire those seperately? Mine just came with a small connector to connect to the wire assembly coming of the head unit, but then it had 5 wires with no terminals and no explanation of where/how those are to be wired. Ottonavi stated that they don't know either?

How much do you think my 4runner worth? Odometer is 48,000 mileage.
7 seats, Katzkin leather gray, 4 headrest DVD plus the touch screen radio/navi (pix in this thread). immaculate paint. only drive it on post base. Its difficult to drive around Seoul Korea with this huge vehicle FYI.
