$$ out the door for a lift

I haven't looked into this at all since the runner is my wife's vehicle and there are still many miles before the factory tires wear out.....however the other day I was out of town and stopped by a shop that had a small "obstacle" course out front and I drove through it in the runner

anyway, they asked if I was interested in a lift and if I had seen how bada$$ a lifter runner stance was....

I said I was not but then asked for him how much for future reference....

i was surprised when he said $400 installed for a 3" suspension lift......he said and not a junky spacer lift, a real lift.......

That is all the info i got, but it just seemed really cheap to me.....what is every one paying out the door for a lift?

Just my opinion, but that sounds really fishy...

When I was checking around for a lift, it was $2k and up from the 4 shops I checked, for a true suspension lift and install/alignment.

$400 for the labor is feasible. You aren't walking out the door with new suspension parts installed for $400, though.

I am agreeing with everyone here $400 for a lift is really low, like spacer low. Now if it is $400 to install that would make a bit more sense.

Heck, buy the lift and bring it over to my house I will install it for $200 and a case of beer.

If I can get a quality lift and instillation for $400 then I will be on my way to TX tomorrow. Unfortunately I have a feeling I would probably leave with some used 5100's thrown in the back of the vehicle and a long, angry drive ahead of me. Honestly, I think the cheapest quality lift comes in around $900 (OME for example) and that does not include instillation.
