The 35Watt kit would be plenty for you, and yes the 5500K would be pretty much the same as 5K.

Post beam pattern pics please. I'm seriously considering doing this hid upgrade. On the headlights and fog lights. I did the H9 mod and its brighter but it's still not enough. I'm running Osram Nightbreakers on my Evo and those are seriously bright, like a cone of daylight in front of the car.

What is the bulb in the fog Lights? Those are seriously weak Sauce!

The fogs below match the 5000K HID's perfectly in color!

Ok people keep installing these, Im however not very smart and im stuck with my Morimoto install a little bit:

Were you able to figure it out?

Q1 - Relay harness on mine was mounted in front of AIP on the cross bar that is covered by the plastic panel. "Wires are hidden underneath too

Q2 - Ballast were mounted to the sides of the engine bay closest to the headlight assembly " Left of AIP and Side of the Battery area"

Q3 - That plug will connect to your existing H11 in the headlight assembly to power the relay. It doesn't lock all the way when i did mine but a few zip ties did the trick to lock it up.

QB is a pass through for the stock h11 connector to the harness QA. Since the location of my harness was close, i removed the 9006 extension on QA and went straight to QB.

The 2nd bulb will have a connection similar to the other one. That will not be used and can be disassembled and pulled out for spare parts as only one stock connection is needed to power the relay switch.

We're you able to install without pulling headlight out? Looks to be very tight fit. Can you retain the back cap too? Looks like hid bulb may not have enough space.

You have to drill a small hole in the cap, and you shouldn't have to remove the headlight at all.

I found a repair mechanic manuals for the 2010 T4R, hopefully the bolt layout is the same for the front bumper.

This is what is preventing me from doing the HID conversion. I don't want to drill through the cap as previously I've had condensation issues.

On a 14+, do you have access to the bottom of the housing without removing the bumper/headlight housing?

If you feel under the corner of the assembly near the fender you will feel a grommet with a harness going through. Can't miss it, its probably an 1 inch grommet.

I'm running an old pair of DDM Tuning slim ballasts I had laying around with some 4300K bulbs I got off Amazon. Almost 1 year and they've been just fine. Light output is good and cutoff is adequate. Friends who don't know any better think it looks OEM. And I've NEVER ONCE been flashed by oncoming traffic or felt I was glaring at anyone. I've even looked at it head on myself from a ways out. Looks just like any other car with HIDs no matter what the "Purist" guys say on here.

You can see the hole in the bottom.

Wiring routed...hid decently well. I purchased adapters that plug into my headlight plug directly to the ballast. I had the relay setup on my tacoma and the left would fire one second faster than the right and it irked me to death. These fire every time in sync with super fast warmup.

Ballast tucked between the air pump and headlight.
