Hi everyone,
'96 4banger. So whenever I drive with my windows down, I can smell a loooooot of fuel, obviously its running rich. I've also been getting pretty bad gas mileage which indicates running rich. And I've also been throwing a P0136, which from what ive read means that I need to replace the Downstream O2 sensor.
Thing is, the downstream O2 sensor looks fairly new (I don't know much about the history of this truck). And it had a brand new single catalytic converter booger welded in right before I bought it. The upstream O2 sensor looks original, which makes me believe that it probably needs replacing, since everything else has pretty much been replaced. Would replacing the upstream O2 sensor take care of the P0136/running rich? Thanks.
