P2445 error code and sudden loss of power

06 4runner 4.7 engine 215K miles. I'm getting the P2445 error code" secondary air pump" while waiting for the parts to arrive I've had a sudden loss of power. . no other error codes show up after power loss. Any ideas what it could be? still runs good at low rpm, just no torque.

Mine had a taillight short that caused mine to have an sudden,quick loss of power when driving sometimes

I had the same problem the other day, came out of nowhere while I was on the interstate. Cleared the code and kept driving, it hasnt come back since (have left it overnight twice now, temps below 30F)

Research tells me it's either an ECU glitch (heard it called the 'cold weather glitch' exclusive to 05-06 V8s, which toyota issued a TSB for and then retracted

OR

The beginning of secondary air pump failure.

Either way, I'm planning on doing the secondary air pump bypass that's been mentioned here before as preventative maintenance.

Any ideas what would cause this mid drive if I already installed slyfox kit a couple years ago?
