I'm getting ready to install my new head unit tonight and I finally have my wiring harness in... I'm installing it with a Pioneer AVH-4200NEX.... Looking at all of these wires it certainly looks like a rats nest from hell. Does anyone have any advice for any quirks from when they've installed it? Thanks.

All of the blue wires connect up together with the blue remote turn on wire from your new stereo harness. Everything else in the instructions was pretty clear from what I remember. Do the firmware update on the PAC before installing it. Mine has been working flawlessly.

Firmware Updates - PAC

Install went smoothish.... i can't seem to find the OBD11 connection they're talking about. The PAC manual says to hook up to pin 6 & 14 but the spots they show as 6 & 14 don't match up with the picture they have

Sorry to bump the old thread, but I am trying to install the PAC unit with my 4100NEX...

How in the hell did you guys manage to fit all the wires/plugs AND the module behind in that small compartment? I tried squeezing it in, and even tried routing it above the speedometer with no luck.

What dash kit did you use? I have a Metra and Scosche and neither fit correctly.

I'll be replacing my head unit with a Pioneer touch screen very shortly and I'm wondering where I'll be able to mount the PAC RP4.2. I have an '07 Limited.

I removed the center channel speaker. It's still a very tough fight getting everything to fit in there, but it is do-able.

mine is just kinda jammed int here at an angle partially sticking down into the compartment under the radio. It's a bit of a pain in the ass but there's no need to remove anything.

Update: I got my Pioneer MVH-1400NEX in today and I just wanted to note that I got the RP4.2-TY11 to sit on top of the left side inner vent assembly. I don't know how I drove without CarPlay before. lol
