Paint code needed

I was hoping someone might know what the paint code is for the rear license plate frame? On my white 97 SR5 it looks to be a charcoal metallic or a graphite metallic. I am wanting to paint my Gen 4 wheels this color and possibly the front grille and hood scoop insert to help tie everything in together.

I've been looking for that code. There doesn't appear to be any. Instead, you have to buy the new piece.

Don't some body shops have "scanners" that can determine a matching paint mix?

I just did some Googling. It looks to be "Anthracite Metallic 1A1". The local paint shop here doesn't have a scanner , go figure.
At least this color will work for my needs. At the worst, I can remove the frame and paint it to match. :wink2:

Unless someone posts a Toyota chart I wouldn't trust word of mouth on this one.

Just call your local parts department at Toyota. They don't charge anything to answer this type of question and then you will know 100% for sure.

Toyota can tell you your EXACT paint code based on the VIN#. This really is the only way that makes sense.

I am supposed to pick up my front SR5 mud guards this coming Tue. I'll check with them when I am there.
