painted centers...what do you think?

ok so i got out today and got lost in messin with the 4runner... i painted my center caps...i thought about white but then went red ya'll let me know what you think...

I personally prefer black or green(it matches with my car)

But it looks pretty good.

My center cap paint is really chipped. I'm looking to paint them because buying new ones would cost around $60. What did you have to do to paint it?

i popped the centers out, sanded them down, cleaned them with dawn dish detergent, sprayed 2 light coats of silver color, fingernail polish-ed the red toyota emblem let them dry and put em back on....

Where did you get the spray of silver?

How long did it take you?

I might run down to the store really quick, buy a can of silver, and paitn my caps.

i got mine from walmart in the automotive section...its plasti-kote wheel paint... barcode thing says silver/argent... sanding and prep took longest... make sure paint completely dries before second coat...took at most 25 min... fingernail polish took a while too cost about 4 bucks total..i like em

I got denied.

You have to be 18 to buy a can of wheel paint.. kind of annoyed me, got me excited and found something to do on a boring sunday.

Maybe a California or San Francisco thing. There are a lot of taggers here so thats probably what it is.

I bought sand paper though and started sanding, probably got one thats too rough cause it was kind of scraping the center caps. Also, Did you scrape the sides or did you just ignroe them?

yea i sanded everything... and cleaned the caps with rubbing alcohol and cotton balls
