Part Number Help

Just bought my first 4runner this week ('02). I have been searching on the forums but have unsuccessful in finding some document somewhere that has all of the OEM part numbers. Does anyone have something like this or where to find it? I have one for another of my cars.

If it does not exist, what's the best way to find out what the OEM part number is for a specific part? Apologies if this was covered before, but I couldn't find it after some searching. I want to make sure I am buying genuine Toyota parts.

Lastly, if you have any good vendors which sell genuine Toyota parts for a good deal, please let me know. I am located in WA.

I'd recommend checking the stickied 3rd gen informational threads section to see if there's a part number list under the documentation thread. AFAIK (someone else can correct me if I'm wrong) there isn't a master parts number list, but many tutorial threads will list part numbers, and a lot of Timmy the toolmans vids on YouTube do as well.

In terms of vendors (and finding part numbers) I and many other members here usually use Mc George Toyota parts as they have the cheapest OEM parts I've found in the US. Toyotapartsdeal.com also is a good supplier though there prices are a bit more spendy and you can find part #'s on both of these sites. Amayama is also a good OEM parts source and can sometimes have the best pricing, though they ship from overseas and it can take a bit longer for parts to arrive.

This is my favorite site these days - TOYOTA 4RUNNERVZN185L-GKPZKA - TOOL-ENGINE-FUEL - | Japan Parts EU. Adjust for your year and model, because there are some subtle differences.

I get the part numbers here, then usually go to Amayama to place the order.

If you go to one of the sites that show all the parts drawings FOR YOUR SPECIFIC VEHICLE---looks like Japan Parts/EU works...copy the parts drawings as screenshots. All the parts on the drawings seem to be labelled with a full or partial part number. Put them in a folder and you've all the parts for your 4Runner.
I did this in 2013, when I first had my 97 4R, so I don't remember exactly what site I copied from.

Thanks everyone for the reply, I'm going to bookmark some of these sites. I did try the official toyota site but I only see 33 parts, and no diagrams even if I click on them.

Yes their site often redirects you to aftermarket parts only. Try another site like McGeorge to look up parts diagrams and it's a bit more reliable and easy. If you are in a time crunch try your local dealer's online parts site as they often sell them at a discount from what you pay at the counter. The often offer next day or even same day pickup.

Genuine Japanese Car Part Imports - Amayama - this one's good
Partsouq.com - I use this one, similar to amayama but good prices
Genuine OEM Toyota Parts and Accessories Online - Toyota Parts Deal - I've also used this one.
Toyota Online Parts | Genuine Toyota Parts | Toyota Parts Online - probably the best US dealership to buy online from.
RockAuto - This is worth mentioning as their prices are often the lowest out of all of them and US based. The sell both OEM and aftermarket parts so you have to pick and choose but they offer amazing prices.
