People with Cornfed lift...is your kit completely aluminum??

So let me get this straight, from the posts I've read about your lift, you initially had a 2" front and 1" rear lift then switched it out to Cornfed's 3" and 2" rear? Is that correct? Was the first set of front spacers a Poly spacer like other comments I've seen on here, and also is your current 3" spacer also a poly spacer?

I'm curious because from what I've seen the Cornfed spacers give fairly consistant amount of lift and your info sounds like something may have been installed wrong maybe? Do you have any pictures of the 3" front spacer installed on the truck? I'm pretty sure I've seen the pics of your 2" installed on another of your posts.

Yes, you're right. First kit was 2+1, second 3+2. First kit I was testing for Cornfed when they used some new materials and they were interested how it rides, wears etc. After I done the research they send me a new kit (3+2). Interesting point, both kits were UHWV rear spacers and UHWV lower front + alum upper front. I can take some pictures of my present setup and post it here tomorrow.

What is the thickness of the lower front spacer on your current front? I think I had heard that the guys at Cornfed had a few different early variations to the Poly spacers and that some re-used the factory rubber isolator. Yours may have been one of those, you might try contacting Burtman Ind. or even Cornfed Suspension directly to find out more info on that.

I reused the rubber isolator. How thick??? I'd need to take a measurements. Will let you know tomorrow.

Did you install the Cornfed yourselves? If so how was it? Did the lift come with install directions? I want to get a lift and it's between the cornfed and the revtek? Does anybody else have the revtek lift? What are the pros and cons, if anybody knows? Thanks.

Cornfed installation is very easy, just follow detailed instructions.
Revtek is for NOT-XREAS 4Runner which is SR5. Front is the same as Cornfed. On the Rear Revtek offers longer shocks, everything else is the same.

I heard that it is easier to install by removing the control arm, did you have to do this? Also, is there a special coil compressor needed or will any coil compressor work?
 
You can get the Revtek without the rear shocks. I've heard that you can install this lift with Xreas.

No I didn't remove it, it's easy enough. What I did is remove the sway-bar.
 
Thanks all. So I guess the revtek is the same as the cornfed, only with the option to put on longer shocks. I could do that separately. I think the revtek is more expensive than the cornfed anyways.
 
When I was shopping for spacer lift, I remember talking to GoodTimes. He used many options and knows them well. He ranged spacer lift in following order by price/quality:
1. Cornfed
2. Daystar
3. Revtek
4. Toytek
 
So product and dollar wise cornfed is the way to go. I'm always happy to know someone else has done the legwork, makes decision making so much easier.
