AlexJet said:Why my springs set me 1" lower then it suppose to be is mystery. I never measured the lift from the ground, so I don't have any significant data in time. I just remember when I installed kit, I had increased my gap from wheel to fender by 2-3/4" on front. Now, I changed tires, so I can't compare to that measurements, but by measuring stock new 4Runner in the dealership and mine, I have just 2" over the stock (measuring from ground to the fender).
So I can't say that this was caused by the lift. I think it's more then 1 factor. It might be a grille guard, but I can't think that it weights so much. I just can say you that Cornfed is one of the best spacer lifts and it's the cheapest solution of lifting the vehicle compare to coils, coilovers or custom.
So let me get this straight, from the posts I've read about your lift, you initially had a 2" front and 1" rear lift then switched it out to Cornfed's 3" and 2" rear? Is that correct? Was the first set of front spacers a Poly spacer like other comments I've seen on here, and also is your current 3" spacer also a poly spacer?
I'm curious because from what I've seen the Cornfed spacers give fairly consistant amount of lift and your info sounds like something may have been installed wrong maybe? Do you have any pictures of the 3" front spacer installed on the truck? I'm pretty sure I've seen the pics of your 2" installed on another of your posts.
Thanks
