Personal Light not turning on???

Hello,

I just took delivery of a 2005 Toyota 4Runner V6 4x4 yesterday. I love the truck but am having some problems with the "Personal Light", as referred to in the manual. Usually, when you unlock the doors or open a door, all the lights in the truck come on, but for some reason and suddenly, the front ones near the sunroof don't turn on at all unless I manually press on them. I think I may have held down one of the alarm buttons accidentally...as I heard a 3 second beep. Can anyone please help? This is frustrating.

By the way, planning to order some OEM 4runner mats. This place seems to be the cheapest, any user experiences here to share? http://www.mrtoyotaparts.com.

I have an 04 and they don't come on unless you manually push them in mine. All the other lights do but the map lights/personal lights are not automatic unless it's new in the 05. Sorry!
 
unless that's a new option for the 05's.... those lights do not turn on unless you turn them on manually. the 03's and 04's map lights (as they're commonly called) do not turn on when doors are unlocked. only the dome light and cargo area light turns on. so unless this is a new feature for the 05's, it's normal.

Hi, thanks for all the quick replies. I could've sworn I've seen them on before when I opened the door or unlocked the doors with the remote...I don't remember it being so dark in there. My wife says she has never seen that light on either without having to manually turn the map lights on. I must be going nuts. We're expecting snow this wed/thurs. I can't wait to test out the 4runner in 4Hi mode. This is my first suv, and first 4x4. Should be fun! :)

Can anyone recommend a good place to order floor mats and Wheel locks?

Same here...:D They say that we might get 6" of snow by Wednsday.. Finally


As for the floor mats I got my all weather floor mats on Ebay for 65$+shipping. They are great.....You can also try http://www.partznet.com/toyota/4runner/accessories/allweathermats.html They have them for 70$ + shipping..

Have fun playing in that snow...:D
