PIAA 1500 back up lights question

Hey Antman, any advice here? I'd like to tap into the wiring harness right under the rear of the vehicle rather than running wires all the way up to the dash. From what I have read, the reverse wire is usually the center of the 7-pin trailer harness (usually a purple color). Can you confirm this for me? Thanks so much!!! :thumb3:

PS - It's the yellow wire in the trailer harness loom of wires. Got all the LED's wired up and they look great!! :cheers:

Finished installation of PIAAs 1500

Just finished installation of PIAAs 1500. Took me about four hours. I used Antman's advise and connected switch right under dashboard. Worked like a charm! Thanks again for your help!
I am very happy with the end result. Will post pictures tomorrow

Here ya go! They came out really nice. The one thing to notice (which I've already contacted V-LEDS for a replacement) is that the middle right led is actually the 6k color (as opposed to the 5k's that I ordered). I'll throw in the corrected one once they send it. I also did the LED strip under the hood today as well. That looks awesome too!!

Not sure why there is reflection in the center (over the hitch) of an led, as there is none there. For reference, I used a 24" strip on the left, 12" strip on the right middle, and a 6" strip on the far right. I cut each one down to size and they fit perfectly (can trim every 3 LED's which is every 2"). Ordered everything from V-LEDS.com and couldn't be happier!
