I realize this thread is a little old, but saw this while searching for something else and didn't see a follow-up response from any LTD owners on what the spare looks like. Got under mine to take a look this morning, and I have the same ugly green wheel face. I'm dumbfounded as to why they would do this other than maybe it'll resist corrosion better. Tried to get a pick but couldn't get the camera up in there well enough.

When I make my purchase I will mandate a proper painted wheel spare as part of the deal. I looked at the Limiteds on the and all of them have Green Spares. No trails to look at... there were none on the lot. SOLD OUT!
