Personally I would not trust the clear tape stuff provided to protect the hood paint from damage. I made my own. See post two in thread in link.

Thanks for the pics. I just ordered one of these today from Ebay... about $35 cheaper than the lowest local dealer price...and no tax.

Different OEM hood protector

I installed my OEM Toyota hood protector last week. Purchased it from Toyota dealer in North East. This protector uses 8 brackets and no push pins at all.
