The 0-60 time sounds awesome.
However, I kinda think you might have the 1/4 mile time off a bit - you're talking viper time there... Actually, I don't even think a Viper could touch that...
Thanks for doing the test runs!
RL Lemke said:Eddie & Biff, does the supercharger affect your gas mileage in normal driving? I know that my lead foot will cause me to become a best customer at my neighborhood gas station, however it is the cross country freeway driving I wonder about.
Also, again in normal driving, does the supercharger make a noise that intrudes in the passenger cabin? I love the whine a blown engine as much as the next guy, but a constant low RPM whine would get under my skin after a 1000 mile day on the road.
I am really interested in a supercharger for two unemotional reasons, and one BIG emotional one. 1) Towing a trailer in the mountains & 2) Passing with a trailer, then 3) The typical male need to occasionally blow by some SOB with an unexpected burst of acceleration.
TIA
Biff said:As far as the whine is concerened you will only hear it when you engage the boost. When normal driving the engine sounds stock.
RL Lemke said:I hate to have to keep asking these questions but I have found no answers in any of my Google searches.
At what RMP does the level of boost rise to where the supercharger whine is noticable?

Biff it sounds to me like the s/c doesn't kick in until you stomp on it. So if you are just driving normally (at any speed and/or RPM) the supercharger is not working therefore there is no whine.
When you do stomp on it the s/c kicks in and the whine is most apparent in the low RPM range.
Does that sound right?

Are you going to hook yourself up on a good deal and get the s/c? Or did you already get it?
